Conveyancing Fees

Purchase Fees

If you are purchasing an existing house or land in Queensland our fee will be fixed so you do not have to be concerned that your bill will not be what you expected at the end. Our fixed fee includes the following:

  • Perusal of Contract of Sale.
  • Us contacting you, your bank, the agent and the other party’s Solicitor. You will not be charged additional photocopying or telephone charges.
  • The following searches:
    • Title Search
    • Plan Search
    • Rates Search
    • Water Search
    • Land Tax Search
    • Settlement Notice
    • Check Final Search
  • Arranging and attending settlement on the Gold Coast. You may have an additional fee if settlement does not occur on the Gold Coast.
  • Requesting an extension of time for finance or settlement as your needs change. Many firms will charge additional for this.

If you are purchasing a unit there will be an additional fee for a body corporate search. This fee will be fixed at the amount charged to us for conducting the search (approximately $100.00).

Selling Fees - Existing House, Unit or Land

If you are selling an existing house, unit or land in Queensland our fee will be fixed. This means that you will not have to worry about the cost changing. Our fixed fee includes the following:

  • Perusal of Contract of Sale.
  • Us contacting you, your bank, the agent and the other party’s Solicitor. You will not be charged additional photocopying or telephone charges.
  • Undertaking a title search.
  • Arranging and attending settlement on the Gold Coast. You may have an additional fee if settlement does not occur on the Gold Coast.
  • Requesting or agreeing on your behalf to extensions of finance or settlement dates. Please note that many firms charge additional for this.

Transfer Duty Fees

When buying a house, unit or land in Qld all buyers are required to pay Stamp Duty to the State Government. This fee is not retained by us but rather is paid directly to the State Government.

The amount of transfer duty that a buyer will be required to pay depends on a number of considerations, including:

  • The purchase price.
  • Whether the buyer intends to live in the property for a period of 12 months.
  • If this is the first home the buyer has purchased and if so, whether the value of the property exceeds $549,999.99.
